Finished the roof a week ago but have been busy. A couple pics with crappy lighting.

also cleaned out the garage (aka airplane hangar) and hosed the floor off in preparation for the concrete guy to seal it.

Joe, luckily there isn't any water coming through the walls. During the contract period the seller had to have a crack in the wall fixed. I was super concerned early in the week that was the issue since it's been raining non ****in stop it seems!
Yesterday I dug down below the ground level and didn't see any evidence, nor on the inside of the wall...

The black sh*t is from the damn ants. They are enjoying a meal of borax as we speak and many are dying quick.
We have a dehumidifier down there now and it's doing a kickass job.

That's good to hear that it's not from the walls themselves. A dehumidifier is almost a must if you have a basement.

Found a little ATV at a yard sale. Guy said it hadn't run in two years and that it needed a clutch. It has an auto clutch and a manually shifted 5 speed trans with reverse. I got it home and hosed it down with starting fluid and yanked on the rope. Lit right off!! Pulled the carb and cleaned all the nasty goo out of it. Ran quite well after I put it back together. On to the clutch issue. Pull up on the shifter, nothing. Shifted through all the gears and it didn't flinch. Tried moving it while shifting and still nothing. Put it back into first and pulled the reverse shifter, it moves. That's weird, I thought. If the clutch was smoked then it wouldn't move in reverse either. I pushed the reverse lever back to the forward position, nothing. I pulled the shifter back partially and pushed it forward, click! All forward gears work and the clutch isn't slipping at all. They had managed to find a false neutral and just gave up on it. It needs a stock muffler put back on and a new battery but it rides around! I decided to check the rear differential on a whim and it was gross!! Basically grease that resembled mud and a little bit of water pooled up in there just for good measure. I douched it out half a dozen times and put some light oil back in with a magnet attached to the drain plug to catch all the bearing material that's bound to be floating around. I'll ride it around the place for a bit then swap the oil out for proper gear lube and see how long it lasts. It's a '97 Yamaha Timberwolf 250. Paid $300 bucks for it.View attachment 116414View attachment 116415View attachment 116416View attachment 116417
That's like a baby BroHauler! Mine doesn't have a pull start though. You probably already know you can fine tune the clutch at the jam-nutted screw on the right side. Nice score!

I messed with that adjustment first but it didn't do anything. Weird.

Very nice!
I thought it was spoda be green?

It was originally a mint/pea green, but then I didn't feel like having to mix up a color in case it needs touched up later, and honestly I need the vise back in service sooner than later so I just went with a simple gray. I thought about Hammerite too, but Rustoleum doesn't sell it in quart cans anymore.

Saw this on Craigslist for free so I snagged it. Was about an hour and a half away but I was glad to take the truck on a long drive anyways. I don't know much about it other than the motor is from something else. The battery is dead so I tossed it on the charger and the guy giving it away said it ran good but leaked oil all over the place and I think I already found the issue- the crankcase breather hose wasn't attached to the intake. It was absolutely filthy so I vacuumed some of the grass off it and hosed it down very quickly, but it still needs a more thorough cleaning. It's got some broken pieces and some jury-rigging to undo, but generally it doesn't look all that bad. I haven't even googled it yet, so I know nothing about model, age, engine, transaxle etc, but at the very least it's got 4 good tires and wheels, a MINT seat, and a core for a battery.

Fit perfect in the back of the truck-

Engine is pressure-lubricated and has an oil filter so I guess that's good. Gravity feed fuel tank is lame tho-
