Plus, my *ss is too hairy for that... and I am too lazy/scared to shave it.

Your only vise has a fan club....

Old tools are awesome. This belt driven drill press was allegedly used by my legally blind great grandfather. It's not worth much less than the story behind it. 20190626_195658.jpg20190626_195711.jpg20190626_195721.jpg
If you spy the table, it's allegedly from an old saloon. Most recently (35 years ago) it had come from a long time tavern on the west side of B-mo. I don't know the real story, but it has a Derringer shelf.

Finally got a slab poured on the side yard. Now I just need to get the fence done and I can’t a cutlass a little safer.

Worked (played) on the free lawn tractor today. The battery charged up to a full 13 volts and seems to be holding it so I'm calling it good. I took all the covers and shrouds and shields off the engine and cleaned all the grease and dirt out of it. I drained the oil and it was mostly gasoline. Common problem with Briggs engines when the needle and seat in the carb leaks. So I filled it up with 1.5 quarts of 10w30 and I'll change that out after maybe 20 minutes of run time. I did start it up and it ran okay, not great but not bad either. It started quickly, it held idle, didn't surge, and responded to throttle inputs. I only ran it maybe 30 seconds to a minute. I pulled the spark plug out and it was pretty old looking and dirty, and the gap was about .005-.010" bigger than it should have been. Also the magneto looked pretty crusty and the plug wire was chewed up pretty bad so I ordered one off eBay. I tested the transaxle and it went forward and backwards. This machine does have the somewhat undesirable Tuff Torq K46 in it, but it'll be fine for now. The cooling fan for the hydro is broken, all the fan blades are broken off, so I ordered a new one. The previous owner mentioned something about the battery being dead everytime he tried to start it. Well I found one of the wires for the alternator is broken where someone butt spliced it, so I'll be soldering and shrink wrapping those. Also someone disconnected the safety switch for the seat, and just taped the wires together and left them dangling so I'm gonna have to find a connector and fix that. I know the seat switches can be a pain in the *ss, but I like to keep them in place just because that's the way it came from the factory. I greased all the zerks fittings and I had to actually take the one wheel off because the grease inside of it was so dried out it was basically just dirt. I've replaced some of the missing and mismatched fasteners (a huge pet peeve of mine) but there are still more. Anyways thats basically the update. I ordered a bunch of parts that should be here Monday. I have to say, Sears may really suck, but Sears Parts Direct is awesome for getting parts, manuals, schematics, and diagrams for these mowers.

TL,DR;
