3M adhesive remover or Mother's Racing Rubber Remover works for the tires, might also work on cones.

I tried contact cement remover on a rag and it didn't work at taking off the stuff straight Goo Gone/WD40/elbow grease on the first round. The Magic Eraser is like sand paper.

Luckily it's just vinyl. Was this on the good side or the bad side?

Lauren and I went to a car show today her uncle Tony let us take the 69 W-30 4 speed holiday coupe. What a pleasure to drive car won an award for best restored interior. There was a bunch of us olds guys....and girls Lauren spent over an hour talking to the president of the Oldsmobile club of america about ways of attracting younger members and starting a mid atlantic chapter. She also talked to him about her H/O and the fact she can't join being she's only 14. By the end of the conversation it was put in the works that she's going to be a full member and fees will be waved until she's 18 LoL that's my girl! Then we came home and she cut the lawn for me. Looks like it may be time to start helping her tinker on that thing. So here's some car show pictures for you guys.

That's a double win for her showing her knowledge & interest if her car to be rewarded with the club membership. She should be the poster child for the junior fans of the hobby. 🤘🤘🤘

Yup, time to take time and hold onto her enthusiasm. Even an hour a day a few times a week.

About stripping that vinyl decal or trim tape or whatever it is, what about acetone or lacquer thinner?

We couldn't find any plates for sale (that were not astronomically priced), so we had a local metal fabrication shop plasma cut some out for us. $2 a pound. I spent the afternoon beveling the edges, descaling, and rust converting them. That was a workout all by itself.

Where are the Chinese when you need them? Oh, right... nevermind.

The Mrs and I are now the co-directors of a corporation called "Specs and Tech Inc.". My suggested slogan is: We have glasses and do smart people things.
