Does it come with one of those fancy embedded hologram codes that confirm it as being genuine and not an illegal-made counterfeit?

Popped the hood and set up a battery charger for the van. Need to score a couple of fibreglass welding blankets to cover both it and the tool chest while I rehab the rotten sections of the inner door skin from the M/Carlo.

After calling all over Saskatchewan, checking Amazon and Rockauto... I finally found both the brake shoes and hardware kit for the Colorado in one spot. And it was cheaper than anywhere else. At the dealership!

What a crazy world we are living in.

I also changed out a reverse bulb (both actually) with some LEDs due to a broken but intermittently functioning filament (when it touched). Good enough for safety.

I also got to epoxy a broken mounting tab back on the same taillight thanks to Krown breaking it and goobering it back together with a piece of electrical tape. Classy.

Brought home one of the next generation of gbody owners! Had this little guy delivered on Tuesday and spent the last couple of days in the hospital helping mom recover. People have always said you will never be more exhausted than the first couple of days with a new born. Boy were they right, wife and I are beyond exhausted and sleep deprived but couldn’t care less since we have a healthy and happy boy.59806874-5427-4D20-8D7A-15B56D9FC9FF.jpeg

It's a new federal thing put into place during Covid due to a YUGE influx of new truck drivers. Also, beginning in February one must go through mandatory school in order to qualify for CDL exam. If all works out I hope to have mine by end of this year.

You should to check off the "NI" box so you'll be able to drive overthe state line while working. The "NA" would be for in Pa only. I did the "NI" since Keystone Diesel suggested it incase I didn't get my state job. This also make sure you get a physical every two years.

Thanks, asked a couple of my driver friends and none of them had to do it when they got their licenses. Most companies will train but they require you to have your home state permit before you go. Did Keystone Diesel train on manual? Really don't want that restriction on my license.

Yes they did plus got me the endorsments for tanker (which I did need), hazmat (droping when it expires) & doubles & triples (dropping when I need to renew my license). They only have 10 speed Freightliner tractors. FYI, they said knowing how to shift a car transmission screws with you learning to double clutch & it did with me.

Do they make you double clutch? It can easily be done without the clutch.

Yeah I don't want hazmat and I definitely do not want doubles & triples. I'm probably gonna be doing flatbed and you get stuck with shitty loads if you've got hazmat.

We have three drivers at work, two have manual endorsement and the other doesn't, and he said knowing how to shift a car is what messes with him. Its hard to find companies that teach it anymore. Melton doesn't, Prime doesn't, Maverick doesn't, TMC just stopped teaching it in the last year or so.

Can't float gears during the test.
The need of drivers may make them all start again but some will comp you for you schooling. I don't know why they wouldn't cause you have to do training at a yard first then drive with a trainer after the put you on the road.

For the road test you have to clutch for every shift & they watch. Even with the road test for the state I had to clutch everytime & I already had my CDL. But I was able to get away with skipping gears cause I went from a 10 speed at Keystone then to a 8 speed at the state which threw me off on splitting gears.

One thing to keep in mind with the national haulers is they are converting the fleets to automatics. Even the state is doing the same. My truck for this winter is a auto.
