As long as your ride is not a stick and clutch, that foot doesn't do much of anything at all when you are driving. Walking, well that is definitely something else to consider. Maybe make the vacation destination somewhere where the room's have mini-bars and they deliver the ice!

I have a mental image in my head about what if this had been a football injury that occurred during a high school football game and there's the coach telling the trainer to pack the leg in ice and then get him to walk it off!!! "I'm okay Coach, I'm okay"......

Whelp, initial verdict is in...

Now one of these things is not like the other:

In order we've got a couple hyper extended/torn muscles in the calf, a couple torn tendons leading to grade 3 sprain, and for good measure, a broken ankle bone plus a tendon with a fragment of bone it pulled free with it as your icing on top. Achilles however, was not ruptured so I guess I failed the extra credit portion of the exercise.

We don't do things half arsed around here let me tell y'all that. We do it, we do it all the way!

This throws serious complications into the new england trip, however.
So Walmart electric carts and Slalom through the main isles? As for coming up to N.E. Those four wheelers are thumb throttled 😏

Great progress for a weeknight! Just keep plugging away.
Headed in early today to put the tie rods and brakes on before work so I can send it for alignment today. Hopefully it works out because she needs it tomorrow and I don't have anything to drive now. Last night I took a customers car home. If I finish the Camaro I can drive that home tonight. Don't know how I'll get in in the morning. Maybe steal a crown Vic but I have to get the daily apart and get the heads to the machine shop. I'm also going to send out the injectors to have them checked because 240k

You are gonna have quite a bit of fun with that, my buddy had an RS7 he traded away for an RS3 and man he is eating everything up in sight at the track with some upgrades to it. He even won the big tire at the Flashlight Drags, to say the local American Muscle crew of guys in that class were not too pleased

Not to take away from machinery capability, but, just not going to get me away from the coupe styled door. I'd cling tooth and nail to the 'old'..... Same impression when the wrx came out, it was capable for what it was, but, had too many doors and worse still the frame over glass.

I've never quite put a finger on it, my aversion. Looks? Definitely a part of it. Time around the local vfd growing up? Likely. (Having a door pinched closed after an accident while jaws of life are brought in and the interior is aflame would stick with ya.) Utility/laziness? How many of you guys like opening a door, tossing something in the back seat without opening and closing 2 sets of doors?

Probably my biggest peeve is driving style/position. I HATE the pillar, especially now with side curtain bags, being right next to my head. But I also like the wide entry/exit of a fully open coupe door.

I've got the blue placard so re-striped lots of narrow spaces isn't the biggest deal these days.

For all those operating without those peeves, the world if your oyster, enjoy!

Helped my parents find a cheap car for my younger siblings. They just needed something to get around in and that won't be a big deal if they scuff the bumpers or curb the wheels. I found this 2012 Hyundai Accent old lady edition. It's super clean. Has 77k on the clock, smells like old lady perfume inside. Its got 4 new tires, new brakes, and new inspection stickers. It's a rental car-spec base model, only option is an automatic transmission. It's a 1.6L GDI engine with a 6 speed auto, no CVT which I was pleased about. It's supposed to get ~35 MPG. Not bad for a Korean Rickshaw.
