What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2022]

Burned the rest of my vacation up on a trip to the south west for a week. Flew into Vegas, they gave us a Challenger V6 stripper option rental car, and hit the road.

V6 challenger is OK. Typical Dodge build quality (rattling door/center console), got 30 mph so not bad. Seats are firm but not uncomfortable. Rearward visibility sucks, good legroom and shoulder room, it's not a bad place to sit for 3000 miles in 7 days. 3.6 seemed to tick/click a bit more than I would have liked or expected. No complaints with the 8 speed trans. It's nice to go to a modern 2 door car and not deal with the B pillar hitting your shoulder every time you get out. I deal with that in the Wife's fusion. Nice car but the leg room is minimal compared to a G and this challenger and it's a moderate pain to get out when the seat is back you have to go around the B pillar instead of straight out. Sad that 2dr cars aren't more popular. If I could find a AWD one for 10k it wouldn't be a terrible daily winter bomber. Just doesn't feel like a $28k car new, but it's optioned to be a rental car so that's kinda the point. Sucks they don't make an AWD V8.

Dam, the water was low. I guess when you put millions of people in a desert that happens.

Vegas Blows. I'm glad we were only there for 2 hours. Tossed $3 in a slot machine, walked up and down the strip for an hour and a half and GTFO. The fountain is cool but everything else kinda sucks. Everything is fake, it's crowded, and smells like vomit, garbage, or weed.

How many times did you think of, curse or laugh at me when you walked up to that white Dodge?

Every. Damn. Time.

Really I was thinking 50% 'I'm just a poor version of Mike' and the other 50% 'I'm living Vanishing Point minus the amphetamine'

Yes.

Actually it is a pretty kick-@ss snowblower... it's just been neglected for the last 5-6 years while I had pampered snow removal services.

I probably should have checked the oil... meh... it'll let me know if it has a problem.
Bobcat/Bearcat snowblowers are basically the best snowblower you can get as far as throwing distance.

Dad has a 65-75 vintage wisco marine version and a 95ish West Fargo built crary bear cat.

It throws snow 2-3x a normal perpendicular impeller Machine because the snow spends 3/4 of an impeller rotation on the parallel machine vs. 1/2-1/4 rotation on a perpendicular machine.

Dad's Bearcat is twice the machine of my 70's Deere, and an older Deere is probably one of the best machines available.

That actually explains why you've gone about its repairs the way you have.

I really lucked into this unit about 11 years ago. Other than periodic maintenance it just eats cheap belts on the daily. In fact I am shopping for replacements right now.

What gets me in all those pics is that no one has thought to sllide a trailer under that more door sedan sitting there at that historical plaque and be on their merry way. So it is four door; lots of families doing the street rod gig and having the back seat to stuff the urchins into makes sense.
