Burned the rest of my vacation up on a trip to the south west for a week. Flew into Vegas, they gave us a Challenger V6 stripper option rental car, and hit the road.
V6 challenger is OK. Typical Dodge build quality (rattling door/center console), got 30 mph so not bad. Seats are firm but not uncomfortable. Rearward visibility sucks, good legroom and shoulder room, it's not a bad place to sit for 3000 miles in 7 days. 3.6 seemed to tick/click a bit more than I would have liked or expected. No complaints with the 8 speed trans. It's nice to go to a modern 2 door car and not deal with the B pillar hitting your shoulder every time you get out. I deal with that in the Wife's fusion. Nice car but the leg room is minimal compared to a G and this challenger and it's a moderate pain to get out when the seat is back you have to go around the B pillar instead of straight out. Sad that 2dr cars aren't more popular. If I could find a AWD one for 10k it wouldn't be a terrible daily winter bomber. Just doesn't feel like a $28k car new, but it's optioned to be a rental car so that's kinda the point. Sucks they don't make an AWD V8.
Dam, the water was low. I guess when you put millions of people in a desert that happens.
Zion stuff
Thats kinda Grand
Bendy horse shoe
It was so damn cold I swore I was going to petrify like the wood
I knew that a steakhouse that had a ranch truck parked in front would serve a good meal
That rib was PRIME
DROOOL
Cacti
Vegas Blows. I'm glad we were only there for 2 hours. Tossed $3 in a slot machine, walked up and down the strip for an hour and a half and GTFO. The fountain is cool but everything else kinda sucks. Everything is fake, it's crowded, and smells like vomit, garbage, or weed.
AND was greeted by -15F this morning back home and snow to move. Yay prairie life.
