What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2023]

Riv in so-so shape with a dead engine and no title is not a $3500 car. Just my opinion but....

A rusty 78 leaking Fsomething50 isn't worth $3k in my opinion either but...

The engine is shiny so it either had a craigslist spray bomb rebuild or it actually was rebuilt and hot screwed up. It's a nailhead so unless you have dedication, +$1500 that you want to put into the rebuild, it's a tough fix.

Do you have a path to the title?

Path, yes. Ive never done it so it will probably be a pain in the *ss. I guess the previous owner stopped responding to the current owner and the quest for the original title stopped there.
And that's $3k with all the new parts plus an entire rebuilt engine. The $500 may or may not happen depending on condition of the riv.

don't know how difficult titles are in your state, but you can always do the "Vermont Title" gimmick

So anyone got an orphan 455 Stage Two lurking about that they would donate to a good home in the engine bay of a gnarly looking RIV?

Video of the knock. Sounds suspiciously like when my flex plate broke.

Yeah, not at all like a spun rod bearing or main. It sounds pretty good otherwise. Good oil pressure?

Rainy today so I am sitting in my garage sorting through parts. If it is not for a 1968 Firebird or the Bonnewagon- OUT it goes. Any second gen stuff I will give to a friend. Cripes, I got parts for cars I junked years ago.
