yeah it's pretty dope. this pic is from a 2 door, but swap out that sport wheel with a wood grain boomerang wheel and that's the interior of this car. It's got a tape deck and came with a Def Leppard Hysteria tape! and the clock works.

First step is find the proper Buick Qjet for the motor. Its hard to get a mismatching Qjet tuned right.

On the Swiss Army Bucket Truck "T2" my business partner found the broken lead we had been chasing down for a year now keeping the 12v pump from working. As well it has been blowing fuses on the wireless remote we installed back in November for the last few weeks so we knew there was an intermittent short or broken wire somewhere. I can tell you there is nothing like getting stranded 35 feet up with no controls when you really don't like heights to begin with !! Then waiting 10 to 30 minutes for someone to come rescue you ( thank goodness for cell phones some days ) to have someone open the cabinet doors and use the backup box ( hard wired ) to get you down. We must have 6 fuses on different circuits just to figure out what the problem was as we could never replicate the issue.

So after a few new wires and some fresh connections my boom works on 12v power now and I don't have to leave the thirsty v10 running the PTO all the time when we use the bucket. Turns out he is 95% certain that with the remote there is a wire that is energized but not used. It was in the loom with some heat shrink over it and zip tied to the chassis of the boom. So it appears the heat shrink had worn off and when the conditions were ideal the boom would tug on the wire, ground out, and pop the 5a fuse. I may have gotten upset one day and wrapped wire around "said" fuse to ensure I was not going to get stuck and ended up blowing all the fuses in the circuit and perhaps I overheated some of the wire ( I'm a bad bad bad man apparently for my fuse trick LOL )

With some wires replaced and that bit of business sorted we pulled the generator and welder off it to put the pressure washer and water tote back on ! With COVID going on people seem to want all their buildings cleaned up ASAP. And with only the two of us full time it's been BUSY

In the meantime I cut the rusty rocker off his DD and mocked up the replacement from the local jobber. That I will get to and done ( first side ) by weeks end. It is a great trade off of services in my books. I hate anything other than basic electrical. His idea of bodywork is spray foam and gravel guard.

Found a crack in the tractor's front axle where the kingpin goes through. Went to pump grease into the kingpin and saw grease come out the side where it shouldn't. Not sure if I should find a replacement or have it welded as it is thicker than my 110 volt MIG can handle.

Tried my hand at dusting and spray detailing the Hellkitty rather than washing it. Nope, definitely not my preferred method - no, Sir... not at all. Once I got over the thought of ending my life once and for all (because who buys a white car?) I moved on to the interior. Used some CarPro PERL (mixed 1:5) to wipe down the surfaces - worked mint. None of that greasy wet look, just a nice clean surface. Then I got to vacuuming out all the dead leaves, sandbox sand, glitter, cat fur, etc and running a lint roller over the rest.

The only reason I went this far was because I have to take the car to the dealership tomorrow morning and need to be in a position to speak confidently about the pristine condition of the car (with all of 1919kms on it) when arguing warranty work "aka Dodge's crapsmanship" on a few items. Hilarious fun.

This was yesterday, today we put some 85# injectors in a friend's CTSV and see if we can eek a little more grunt out of it with a flash.

Today I replaced something I should have a long time ago, the POS water overflow tank. It's always sucked. I don't think it's ever done its job and this year on the Dyno the car puked water on the floor. Water temp was 190 so I followed the trail and it led to this POS tank.

I think the idea here must have been simple, light, and extremely ghetto. I was waiting to relocate my PS cooler to make room for a stock overflow until I realized what a monstrosity that was so I nabbed a universal from Blow Reilly's instead. Here's the failure mode on the old one.

Well that explains the mess and also why I had to add a little water after every race. The ID of that hole was so small on the other end I'm not sure it was possible for it to ever do its job. New one is a different story. Legit 3/8" nipple instead of this hokey mess.

While not a huge accomplishment, it is a nice bump in refinement. Tomorrow my new front calipers arrive, so I can swap those out and finally flush out last year's brake fluid.
