What did you do to your shop today?

Reprogrammed the timer that controls my heater to come on during off peak times in order to consume less electricity. Took a broom and went looking for an MIA capscrew and washer that belong to the tab that anchors the dipstick tube. No Joy, still missing. Found out that lantern batteries hate the cold and respond by refusing to let the radio work.

Organized some spools of wire I've had on a shelf by mounting them under stairs

Delivered my shed today. Very well built. Tomorrow I get to move stuff from storage to the shed.

Nothing major, but yesterday decided to employ a little idea I've been considering for a while.

I have a large regulator for my air system hard mounted near the compressor, but there's been many times I wish I could adjust the air pressure as I'm working and with different tools at the same time.

So while I was at the parts store yesterday morning, I grabbed one of these little mini adjustable regulators and plumbed it inline on the hose before the coupler.

That way I can dial it up to full pressure for a cutoff wheel, change tools and dial it right down for a sander or whatever. Should be especially handy for my buddy Mike who’s terrible for using an air tool like a trigger: on or off.
😅

Seems like a pretty obvious tweak to make, but you always see regulators mounted on the tool, not inline on the hose. I’ve used it for a couple days now already, and it works pretty damn good. Can’t believe this isn’t more common.

The problem I have found with them is... after some use they tend to leak. I know it is just o-rings, but annoying none the less.

Worked in it and piled up broken dreams beside it.
