What did you do to your shop today?

More like bought than did, but added to my growing tool collection. A new place called Direct Tools opened in the Outlet Mall a month or so ago. Turns out they only sell Ryobi and Ridgid factory blemished and reconditioned tools and accessories. Figured I'd look around, ended up buying a $70 circular saw for $25 that even has a fancy little laser on it! My first circular saw, and I'm sure it'll be fine for any work I put to it.
Also picked up a new grinder at HF a few weeks ago, haven't even used it yet.

Bought $250 in harbor freight crap. half was stuff my dad needed, for myself i got some screwdrivers engine bottle brushes, box of assorted fuses, and a new 3 ton ram for my engine hoist. old one ig is just dried out. it's probably 20 years old.

I've been putting that Ryobi saw to work the past couple days! Picked up some lumber and a sheet of melamine MDF, and turned this....

Still need to fasten the tops down, but it'll be so nice to finally have a legit workbench instead of using a fold out food tray lol!

That's how I build my benches! If it will see abuse, I will put a 2x something top on it! I built one with 2x12 tops, needless to say that's where my vise resides!

I picked up a third LED 4 ft light to mount the far wall. It has dual built in Bluetooth speakers, actually gets pretty loud and has good sound. So now 5 lights including the two LED 100W bulbs in the garage door opener and one in the single socket orginally installed. I am rethinking my overhead heater location, right against the hood when it is open. Although now under the hood is well lit from both sides, the dual 4 ft LED just bounches off the top of the roof and the hood blocks it. I will still have 3 lights further back, if I half pull in a car to work on. I will probably add a cross beam to mount both on so I can have the hood open with all 3 heaters and more working area light.
