I wired the electrical outlet, hung more lights, cleaned off some shelves, and loaded more junk into the Caballero. Going to the dump tomorrow morning.
I'm going to need to get that trailer hitch that I got at the wrecking yard, on the Caballero, and buy a trailer. I have to pay the minimum charge each time I go to the dump. If I had a trailer, I could haul substantially more for about the same price.

Had an automotive lift sales rep stop by the house today, and while his company couldn't sell us their product he suggested that for our needs this would be more appropriate:

Any feed back would be appreciated. Interestingly Costco carries this brand (not this specific model).

It was also really fun talking shop and cars with someone.

The gutter on the front of the garage ceased to function because the facia board rotted out and the water runs behind the gutter and comes straight down. While I'm there, I'm gonna replace the door trim with PVC, too. So, I was that guy and did a sketchy tie down job because Home Dopey only had 12 & 16' pieces when i totally figured on 10' sections fitting on the tailgate.

I drove 3 or so miles with a 16' hand rail sticking out of my 6.5' bed a couple weeks back. It moved around so much I was worried it'd break. Couldn't cut it either as I needed the whole run of it. At least I felt bad about it, that's good enough right?

Anybody ever see the hurricane photo of a green Jetta with 20 sheets of plywood tied down onto it with the free white twine they give away at the exit door?

So as information continues to trickle out about my impending career course it seems that I can expect to commit a minimum of 900 hours over the next two years, an average of 10 hours per week. It all starts on August 17th. So I just took two weeks off to get ahead of a variety of issues that I would have otherwise handled in October. First of which is reorganizing the garage to meet our parking and home gym needs.

The first step was taking the dimensions of the Camaro, Wagon, MCSS and HellKitty and laying it out on the floor (see orange tape) to see how we can stuff them all into an L shape. I believe I solved it.

Maintaining circulation space was a paramount limitation that had to be met.

And went to on moving the work bench, both tool boxes, a tonne of racking, tools, and throwing out a bunch of junk.

Anyone need a sway bar? Driveshaft? Transmission cross member? PM me.

Great stuff you have there. But I'd have to be a Canadian citizen to come pick them up....
