Yeah...I bought mine at AZ...CA1102 is the part number. Yours looks like the CA1130, which they list online for the 4speed. What is the part number of your cable?
just pulled the bag from the trash bin....I lied...lol....I have the ca1130 cable. however, it is possible that the part was bagged wrong, or the part you bought was bagged wrong. Im calling a buddy at AZ to help me out with this...did you buy another cable from AZ..or Advance?

the one on the picture is from autozone part#ca-1102
ive bought 2 different ones from advanced auto.

ok....heres what AZ told me. Their computer and website have issues with these parts. I think the sheath is the actual problem here...not the length of the cable. Because of the longer sheath, the cable cannot extend all the way out to the lever on your transmission. So, you need a CA1130 cable, which is listed at AZ as a 4speed trans cable. The length is about 3" shorter than the CA1102, but the sheath is almost 10" shorter, which give the cable more room to move. the first cable you got from advance was not a PIONEER brand and that was probably why it looks different. hope this helps...and I hope you can get it hooked up soon too...

yeah...listed for a 4speed, but the picture shows the 3speed cable. I had issues with this when I put my trans in too. Its all coming back to me now. The length of the cable was thought to be the problem, but as I said, its not the cable length, but the sheath length that creates the issues with allowing the cable to reach the lever.

which one of these do you have?

should be...but I still say that the shifter bracket above will make a difference too...so if you were sold a 3speed bracket, it wont work with a 4speed cable....just keep that in mind...its all about the clearance...clarence...lol

honestly mine was a bit of a pain when I switch from 3 speed to 4 speed too. I ended up grinding the end off my 3speed detent to get the shifter into low gear and then cut the bracket on the trans and re-welded it to line up where it needed to be.
