What's wrong here??? shifter cable/bracket or link?

in the chilton's book it does say "typical floorshift cable control" so it may not be correct but I seem to remember it is the way my bracket went on. There is a couple of 200 r4 transmission's at the shop so this week I'll see if they still have the bracket and see which way it's installed

Yes please check that out for me please..... And when will you be going to the shop?
What I'm wundering is if the bracket IS flipped like in the picture from chilton's the cable will be even further away from the lever....

the GN 200 r4 at the shop still had the bracket installed and your is installed correctly....

Cool, thanks for checking, I think it's the cable, I ordered the one from Autozone and returned the advanced auto one.
Let's see what happens now.....

i would put money on you got a 3 spd cable that part number on amazon doesnt say anything about it being a 4spd cable said it was for a 3 spd. I looked on advanced auto web site and it didnt give the option to select the trans type nor did it say 3 or 4 spd

Yea, on advanced auto's sight it Does'nt say or let you choose a 3speed or 4speed,
And on autozone's sight it seems they got it backwards, they have the shorter cable for a 4speed & the longer one for a speed... :?:
They also have the vin#'s screwed up, they have the salon 442 with a vin 👍

Napa may carry it, they have some books with clips that you might have to look thru to find it so bring the cable with you to make sure what you find fits..

if you look at your cable and bill's yours is not extended like bills. Are you sure your shifter is correct or what gear do you have your shifter at?. In 1st it gives the cable it's furthest extension at the transmission
