Quick question. Did you notch your frame? 285 on a 9.5 won't fit without it. Sorry if I'm adding to your worries lol. If you have the chance do it. You won't regret it.
15's is a whole other story. He's looking for 18's.I've seen minor rear clearance differences from G-Body to G-Body. My best advise...take loads of measurements, and cross reference tire/wheel size charts. To muddy the waters a bit, there are subtle size differences from brand to brand. I had an '87 Cutlass with BFGoodrich TA 295/60/15 as rear tires with no rubbing.
EDIT: Forgot the most important part. MHT agreed to paint match my spokes to 442 gold for that same $715 front, $812 rear price.
Came to terms with AZProPerformance on [2] 17x8 and [2] 18x9 Sabers. They need 1/2 down so going to wait a couple weeks to order since August is the infamous tags/taxes month in our household.
I called DiscountTireDirect about the Michelin Pilot Super Sports I want which are on sale now and they reserved the same price for me even though I won't be buying for probably 2 months. Since the 235/45/17 and 265/40/18 are normally almost $100 higher per tire, that was just kinda cool, I thought! No deposit required. Now, I have probably bought 6-7 sets of tires there in the last 10 years but they still didn't have to do that.
I reserved the 235/45 instead of the 245 because [on this tire] the 235 gets more actual tread down than the 245 does. And, this gives me 25.3 diameter up front and 26.3 in back.
Anxious to see this finally all come together . . . [not as much as we are dude!]
