I will have the Spohn version using the same or at least similar swivel posi-links to my lower CAs attached to what is otherwise pretty much an F41 sway bar.

How much inner well needs to come out to run that much rubber up front though? UMI pretty much gutted their front wells. On the one hand, I want to have some auto-x and even some road racing fun with this but I don't expect at my age to start lighting up the pro-touring circuit. On the other, it is a show quality 442 that is ALL purdy under the hood so I don't particularly want to lose all my splash protection.

Yeah, I don't have rubbing with my 245/60/15s I have now though I haven't pushed it [like at the margins of an auto-x run, etc.]. And, I am not lowered 1-1.5" yet like after the Eibachs install. They might rub up front then?

I struggle so much with traction that I would love to get some 275s out back so I am kinda leaning toward that 245 front 275 rear. Only about 1" difference in width front to back and only about 1/2" in back from just 255s all around. So, I could literally just be pissing on my shoes here stressing about this??

It will or at least should look slightly better staggered. This Camaro is supposedly a 245/275 stagger on the same wheels I am now leaning toward.

Think these would look nice on my gray/silver. Might even toy with getting some 442 gold accent on them.

So crazy! Before my new wheel purchase i had many screenshots of wheels i like that would look good on my 87 cutlass. I had this same pic on my phone i kept going back to while narrowing down my choices! Great minds think alike lol!

Well, and then I just found these . . . Foose makes a Four42 wheel. Too much gold? Of course, these would be priced outrageously up there with those Sabers from US Mags but man . . .

With that silver lower body, these would even look good with perhaps some 442 gold accenting. Be nice to get the 442 center caps on them.

I am sure they would do the spokes 442 gold for a price though . . .

It is almost overwhelming with so many options now but SO cool too. Last time I looked was 10 years ago and they didn't have squat I would even consider putting on a 442.

Looked at those as well, love them. However at over $800/each it's hard to justify!!! There is a pic on google of a blue A body cutlass convertible with those wheels paint matched....looks super clean but i agree that's too much gold.

Finally found an editor that naturally does not have an '87 442 but has a Regal. Pretty hard not to like these Sabers.

And, they were only $600 each . . .

How about the M-One from US Mags? Planted gold of course. I just noticed though that they are polished, not chrome. That is high maintenance.

That's one of the reasons i sold my centerlines....having to polish and buff gets old. There are enough nice wheel styles now other polished that look killer on our cars and don't require the level of maintenance that polished wheels need. Call me lazy, it just plain gets old after years of polishing.

That, and some of us are just freakin' old . . . Polishing a lot actually causes me physical pain now. 🙁

I really don't want to spend $6-800 a piece on wheels but after putting $3500 worth of suspension mods on a show quality car . . . maybe I just need to bite the bullet. There is something I don't like or will have to change/alter about ALL the "affordable" wheels I've looked at so far.

I keep coming back to US Mags and Foose. And, with the Sabers at least I can maintain that "retro" look with new 17" wheels that [unlike my SSIIIs] I can actually spin balance along with some great tire choices.

If I go 255/50/17 on all 4 corners, I like the Nitto 555 G2s.

Staggered, BFG Comp 2s have both the 245 and 275 sizes I want . . .

Well, I just decided to bite the bullet and get the Sabers and the price has gone up $150 per wheel. Now, $750 for 17s and $800 for 18s. Same price whether staggered 8 front 9.5 rear or just 8 front and rear. Can't help but feel a little mucked with. Classic bait and switch. Oh, you can afford $600 per wheel? Well, um, not really but on a show quality 442 I thought what the hell . . . too late, they are now $750 and did we mention it will be an additional $40 per wheel to ship?



Sigh . . . so back in the undecided column again!
