Nice!!!!!!!
any exhaust on it?

Open f-body headers in the video. I have the Pypes exhaust with the Race Pros, but it's in the trunk. I had that exhaust on the 307 and someone on another board traded me his "X" pipe for my "Y" pipe, so I have everything ready to put on. It's just a basic setup with a Dorman LS6 intake, a SUMLSGT102 cam, and 5.3 heads off a Tahoe. I still have to loom the harness and finish up a few odds and ends, but it's downhill from here.

Question about the motor mounts. What did you use....1" setback, regular swap, etc? I'm on the hunt for an LQ4 or LQ9 and wanna make sure i have a good parts list on standby. This is what i have saved. Any advice is appreciated.

I originally had this engine/trans combo in a Grand National that I decided not to finish. The Cutlass came along and I knew I could complete it for a fraction of what I would have spent restoring the GN. I parted the GN out and kept the "good" parts (rear end, sway bar, etc) for the Cutlass.

Anyway, if you look through my youtube videos there is an explanation of the mounts I used. They are the stock style clam shells with old school 1" mounting plates. If I had to do it again, GET THE ADJUSTABLE plates! You don't need 1" set-backs, but you don't need it 1" forward either. I really need about 1/4" - 1/2" to clear my A/C box. It's so close that I cannot drop the wiring harness behind the cylinder head on the passenger side without pulling the engine. This would not be a problem for most aftermarket harnesses, but I made my own "custom" harness and there is no way to squeeze the fuse panel between the transmission and the tunnel. It's hard to put in words, I'm going to make a video tomorrow discussing the Cutlass wiring and a few other pointers.

Picked up the jets for my quadrajet today, just have to smooth out the casting lines in the secondaries and the carb is ready to go back together but I'll wait till my Doug Roe book shows up to see what that says. Book should be here tomorrow.

Bought an 84 MC SS donor car for one (or more) of the projects. Trying really hard not to go down the "it's too good to cut up" path...because then IT becomes ANOTHER project.

Transverse rear engine conversion . . . I like it!

Seriously, I drove from Hastings NE back to Wichita Ks back in 1977 with a 400 lb. electric irrigation motor in the back of a 1974 Mustang 4 banger hatchback. Got stopped drafting behind an 18 wheeler by a highway patrol and the dude actually felt sorry for me sagging badly in the *ss end not particularly enjoying myself and let me go with a warning.
