Why? dont you have the 5 speed OD in it?

^^ nothing broke down about that. Hands down it was the best " bang for your buck" driveway upgrade I have done to my car.

Haha agreed from what ive read I had serious brake fade when driving my old Elky hard. I dont drive this as hard yet but if I keep it, it will definitely need better brakes.. figured this is a start

I think sourcing some trim and quarter windows will still be far cheaper than having vinyl installed plus you have the added piece of mind not wondering what is lurking underneath anymore.
Really the biggest hangup for me is welding on the studs for the trim, and filling in said holes. I don't have a welder, nor do I know how to weld.

You don't need to weld trim studs on. You just need some of these and a diagram of mounting locations around the window...

Not likely. Plus I'm doing all the prep work short of stretching the actual vinyl. And there wouldn't be any worry of rust appearing with proper prep and regular washings.

I have this same trouble. Something about having 6 times the factory power tends to tax the brakes pretty hard. I've been looking into C5 brakes.
