Last night I just gathered material and cut pieces for assembly. I should have something worth sharing later today.

My goal is to make something lighter than the G-Force monstrosity, and more robust than the Iceman unit. To be totally fair the stock crossmember has put plenty of Turbo Buicks into the 9s... it just supports the tail shaft.

Got bored, ripped my landau top off. Not any rust that I can see. The brown is old glue. The top of the top was so bad, you could see the roof through it. It wasn't even attached anymore, it was just sitting on the roof. It looks stupid, but I'd rather that than have that damn rust trap on my car anymore. Also, there is like 1/8" of dust under the top. Weird.

When I said this car was rust free, I meant it. 😛 Somehow almost all the rivets on the driver's side holding the trim around the window are broken. Prolly gonna use some double sided tape to hold it on, at least until spring/summer when I can properly prep the area for the new top. I wouldn't mind doing it myself, but I'd need to have another car. I imagine it'd take me a couple days at least, so I don't want to be SOL with transportation.

Why don't you just rid the car of that rust trap once and for all since it is off anyways.
