I literally tossed this line in (perfect condition) out last week.

If you are going to pay someone to make you a fuel line for an engine you don't intend to keep - you shouldn't expect to have an LS-anything in there for quite some time. Damn, dude hit up Harbour Freight and NAPA and slap a solution together already.

They quoted me like $25-35. If we were talking like $150-200, then I’d say no way, but for that price, worth a shot. Also found a guy in my neighborhood that might be able to help.

You just got Mike to say what most of us were thinking. Probably thousands of GM fuel lines have kinked at the inlet fitting. Fab something, it feels good.....

$25-$35 doesn't sound like much but the materials is worth maybe a little more than $5 so the way I deal with stuff lilke that I buy the parts I need and put the rest of the money towards tools to do the job. You will need a pipe bender, if you don't use cunnifer, can be used on other future jobs and the flaring tool will probably be useful in the future as well so those tools will pay for themselves. Plus the knowledge and experience you are gaining is priceless.....

Ha! I was going to mention that he forgot to put his fitting on BEFORE he did the flare. Certainly EVERYBODY'S done that at least once... right? But through the wonders of editing, the fitting was there at the end. I know how that happened too... 'cause I do video editing.

And to disclose fully, I even learned something watching that. I've never had good luck making a barbed end on a steel line to add a rubber hose to because I never used the adapter without cranking it all the way down. Now I see stopping short is the way to go, and I've been making fuel and brake lines for over 20 years on my projects.
