Guys, doing a new cap and rotor on my TBI 350 with HEI and remote coil. I've have a slight hesitation/hiccup at 2,000 rpm and I want to do all the typical maintenance stuff first to rule that out. It's just tough with so many mixed reviews on parts and big name brands cheapening out these days. I'd love to know what you guys think.

Standard Blue Streak is probably the best for the money.

Look for caps that have brass terminals molded into the plastic. Avoid caps with aluminum terminals or pressed in rather than molded in.

I have old Blue Streaks caps that I just hit the brass terminals with a Dremel stone and they are good to go again.

The Accel cap used to be good but used to be US made. I just put one on my Dakota, it does run better but it may be the head gaskets were seeping from day one causing a miss. The Blue Streak was the only cap we used on the GM small cap distributor in the shop I worked in. The small cap HEI was always corroded when checking for a miss, talking blue from moisture and badly corroded. The Blue Streak cap would fix it.
