Took it out on a 40 mile drive in the middle of hurricane Isaias. Not fun at all. The 245s kept wanting to be on top of the water, so slow speeds were necessary to keep it between the lines. Booooo. Should be a fun ride home.

Made it back; the highway had dried up, but I still wasn't comfortable enough on the intermediates to catch up to the M6. They're definitely not full wets (F1 talk).

Found a tilt column lever while cleaning up the shed and added it to the Monte. A surprisingly satisfying moment.

Put in some new valve stem caps.

Started cleaning up trunk area. Pulled the carpet in there, vacuumed and sprayed with some Zep cleaner and then hoses down. Nasty stuff that came out. It’s drying right now and definitely an improvement.

Very hot today, I ended up re-applying plastic over the windows and such then started what I could of the Passenger side.

Sanded smooth then spray painted the Passenger Side Fender Top part only, There is a rust cancer I have to remove later on the bottom half (Front of the Wheel), and patch up with the 12 gauge Auto Body Steel I got from Amazon. You also should see that minor dent on the top part of the fender, something I didn't notice until the paint went on, luckily I was able to some what reach a small plastic hammer back there and partially take it out, It's real small now and I can pull it out with the glue puller. Second picture: Thankfully only had to put on alittle Bondo on some creases I noticed toward the rear of the bottom half of the door. After Sanding it down, some primer was sprayed.

After the Passenger side clear coat had dryed I put the other Headlight Bezel on and cleaned both the Bezel and the other half of the Bumper with a Brillo Pad. Which came out nice but I am going to have to replace both Headlight Bezel's as they are starting to mold on the inside corners and are definitely starting to show age and breakage. While I was at it I have started to sand down the Trunk Rim area getting that ready for primer and paint, Also sanded down and Rust treated some areas. From the looks of things I may have to pull the Trunk lid off.

This being the reason why, On this rust I had to use Vinegar which is eating the rust off at the moment, allot more sanding will be done in that area tomorrow. I simply thought the next image would be great to put on here. She's getting there, slowly but surely. I am actually having some fun and relaxation working on her and learning a bit all at the same time.

Installed a new-to-me A/C vacuum line behind the dash. Previous one melted somehow.

Also wired in the A/C hot wire that the previous owner cut for some reason. I got a blower motor now, although it is very weak even on high. I don’t expect much for 30 years old and not having been used in who knows how long. The AC setup is pulled from the car anyways, one step closer to getting it all working though.

You can catch a glimpse of all of the previous wiring repair that I’ve done on the car since I’ve had it. Previous owner(s) we’re not friendly to the wiring. Undoing others mess ups is both interesting and irritating.
