Another Tahoe/suburban/avalanche dash. More of a start to finish... But these are molded plastic versus our dashes being vinyl wrapped foam, so the repair process is a little different but not impossible.
Impressive results. GMT900 Dash = :poop:

Have you tested that out on a part to see how well it works?
Here is the pieces sanded down with really really fine grit. Then sprayed with one coat of bed liner. Tomorrow I’m going to maybe add another coat then primer them grey. Then spray them to match interior color so it’s not a black undercoat.

Spent way longer gravity bleeding the rear brakes on the Monte than I would care to admit. To be fair the whole circuit was left open, and dry, with new lines so it was going to take a bit to flush the old fluid and air out.

I did eventually recruit Natasha to work the pedal to get the last little bit out.

We may or may not have been singing this:

Ah, oooh, pump it. Pump it real good!

She is one helluva a good sport.

Time for a vacuum bleeder for you two. So much easier.

Mike says he has one. We’ll be using it for sure, just gotta wait until a week Sunday when he’s back at my place to do it. I’ve got the braided brake line upgrade still to do on the fronts as well, so we’ll be purging and flushing the entire system with all new fluid when that gets done.

I actually used my pathetic old Mityvac to pull the fluid through and get the process started. After that it was hours of drip... drip... drip... while I cleaned up the garage and did other things.

But, yeah - speed bleeders or a better setup would be more smarter.

Can you get another dash?

The cracks bother me none, but the area where it is lifting, some places excessively will be a big problem to repair. If I were you I would hunt up a different dash, repair it while out of the car, then swap them out when ready. Thats my plan for most of my interior is refinish my spare interior and then swap it in when I get to the point of gutting my current interior.
From what I understand dashes are pretty hard to come by, I do have a parts truck I can take the dash out of to repair then put it back in. Need to do some research on how hard they are to pull out

Loaded up and dropped the coupe off at alignment.

Next up: exhaust

Then, maybe, I'll actually get to drive it after 4 years.
