Carb Stalling Troubleshooting...Flooded ?

This isn't a simple repair you can do half assed, like leaking fluid for power steering for example.

Anything that involves the basic function of the vehicle, such as fuel you really should not be too cheap with.

I would also make sure you have no vacuum leaks from any plastic hose, or intake gasket issues.
I bought everything it needed, including the 21/64 drill bit and cutting oil...

and your right, the copper wire doesn't work.

Jumping on it today...

I’m not sure what kind of intake you have, so I can’t give you a straight answer but I would install the new gasket, bolt down your carburetor then test for leaks.

Never, EVER double gasket no matter what you install. One or the other, which ever is in better condition imo.

Looking at the gaskets, only one will fit properly, and flat against the mating surface. Bolt holes are offset from the edge lines differently.

Put your studs on. Test fit the gaskets. Whichever one lies flat and fits over the studs smoothly is the one you use.

I used the one on the right because it comes in the manufacturer rebuild kit, and it was in the better condition.

Removed the glass filter and replaced it with a metal canister filter, and fuel pressure is 5.5-6 psi, depending on how I have the hose at the gauge positioned...

Also, I've learned I have an external electric fuel pump...
