I made some fixtures for holding the bumper fillers out of 1/8" strap steel. Drilled a hole in each end, bent one corner in a 90, and bolted the filler on. This way I can hold each part, spray it, then hang it from my garage door tracks on bent up clothes hangers. Guns are out of their case and fitted with filters. I don't think I've ever been this prepared to shoot some paint. It's kinda nice. Lol

So far its been a mess. I got the black base on the deck lid and noticed some pin holes and a sand scratch. I started putting color coats on switching my regulator from my big gun to my small one. Went to put second coat on the hood and some how the regulator got turned to hardly anything. It globbed a bunch of sh*t on the area I started. I let it sit about an hour and used 800 on a sponge block and lightly feathered it out. Saved it. My paint gun dripped a big spot directly in the middle of my license plate filler. I tried dabbing it but it took it straight to the black base. So that piece needs wet blocked. My turn indicator housings fish eyed and I always wipe down with prep sol. I threw them in a bath of stripper, cleaned them, and shot on some SEM etch primer in an aerosol. I overcome that one too. I'm in a rush because of the heat but it's in vain now with the stupid issues. Pretty frustrated but can't stop now

It is WAAAAY too hot to be painting in a garage. Other than the rework I'll have to do to the trunk lid and license plate filler, everything else looks great. It's musical chairs having to roll out cars and put in parts, then having to pull parts out and reinstall cars. Got the Salon hood on top of the 55, bumper fillers hanging on both sides of the garage door tracks, aero mirrors hanging in middle from the garage door opener, and my trunk latch hanging from a motorcycle frame behind the plastic. Lol

I'm looking forward to seeing the front clip on that car. Glad to hear you were able to fight through the problems.

This morning I got to check the parts out in the sun. Looks like my crazy fast criss crossing with the high metallic kept me once again from getting tiger stripes. I just realized I have a personal baking booth here. My shed in the back yard gets crazy hot inside during summer. Just put most of my fresh painted parts in there and closed the door. I think I'll call it my "No Draft Baking Shed". Lol

I feel your pain, it's really hot here also. I ha e elected to hold off on my stuff. Been really busy so I don't want to rush things.

Looks great though, glad you overcame your problems and got them fixed.
