thx much Steve. He graciously offered to mail them to me but at almost 10 years on the forum I had to put a face to the name just because :)

Just to clairify; the Elco that my son refers to is actually my friends Elco mentioned more that a few times here :) He said if he cant get that Elco, then he wants Hafrods ( cause it will be OK clean instead of S.Ont rusted to crap ), then 3rd is my Monte. Oh to be 16 again, and this time have a dad that actually appreciates cars like my son has !

Scrap yard was a bit of a bust. After meeting Steve we got 2 mins from the yard and my phone rang. Driver with 2 skids for me from New Jersey was supposed to be here tonight..... but instead he made excellent time so he was waiting for me at work to offload him so he could go home again. Problem is I was an hour away !! I gave us 30 mins ( in light rain ) to get in and out of a you-pick yard ( yeah right !! ) so this guy could sleep at home in Jersey tonight so we ripped thru the GM side of the yard ( thx Steve for the directions ! )
I got the check valves for my Cruise Control Project, but left behind a decent set of tail lights and 81-85 trim between the rear bumper and trunk lid due to time constraints ( I don't need them anyways just hate to think that good parts will be crushed if someone doesn't save them ).

FWIW Cambridge Auto wreckers has 3x 3rd gen 1x4th gen Fbodies ( no ls1 rear brakes, all 4 fairly picked over ).
An 81-88 cutlass v8 with good Maroon interior, buckets and console ( drivers seat is junk and smells of cat piss ), dash is trashed, intact hard top trim. And an 81-88 Monte, v6, good hood and 1/4s, interior is trashed, intact Hard Top trim, and 4x honeycomb 14" hubcaps in the trunk.

Great to meet another forum member and ( hey I am a car guy ) look over his car. The fast windows up via remote GP has is SLICK !

Finally got my corvette calipers installed and bled. Tomorrow I will tighten all the loose ends and put the wheels back on and take it for a cruise! I'm am so glad to be finished with this project.
Also, I found that a Pilot gel pen works great to plug the caliper hose, I hate getting brake fluid everywhere, it's so thin it just flies everywhere haha
Also need to re-paint the calipers, much to do before I am completely finished.

After too long of doing lots of work but not getting anything done it was nice to get a few things accomplished yesterday :)

I finally swapped out the damaged bumper to a nicer one

I learned something mildly interesting yesterday when I was swapping the trunk lids on the Monte. The '86 and '87 have different trunk lid hinge designs. The '86 uses crudely punched holes (through both sides of the post) and long-self tapping/drilling bolts; where the '87 uses more precisely punched holes and a threaded insert (drops into the post) with short bolts. The late design seems to offer more range of adjustability. Maybe this is a base vs. premium model cost saving/quality measure? Because this base model V6 donor car is built like crap compared to '87 SS.

FWIW, I kept the '86 hinges and used the '87 bolts to save weight (principle goal of the project). Pennies make a Pound.
