What feels like a week worth of work later, the car’s buffed and properly glaze waxed again.

Funny thing, the left/right haze in the trunk lid isn’t in the paint- it’s a reflection of light from the white tarp roof.

And all of that after I found out the hard way that the sponge I used to wash the car still had grit in it after I rinsed it 6 times.

As much as it annoys me, I’m not sanding this mess a third time. Not making a car for Pebble Beach or car show snobs.

Finally put on my favorite wheel/tire setup! Weld prostars, 15x8 in the rear (3.5 bs) and 15x5 in the front. 275-60/15 MT ET Street SS in the rear, 26x7.50x15 in the front. Now it NEEDS to be lowered!

Thanks. Took me a month to figure out how to lower the car seat base and tracks to get those things to fit.
I'm interested in hearing/ seeing more of that if you've got the time to start a thread. With seat swapping being such a popular mod I bet I'm not alone...

I wish I had taken more photos as I was doing this. I had to remove the original tracks and replaced them with 14inch wide tracks. Had to improvise brackets from side mount seat brackets which worked great to secure the new tracks to the base. I then also had to cut the plastic moulding along the bottom edge leaving just enough for them not to drag against the carpet. I also had to build a bracket for the seat belt guide near the headrest. The guide is not actually connected to the seat.

Still isn't running right, but got her out to 3 different shows yesterday (one of which was Horsepower and Pizza)

and logged a good bit of miles. Seems like the fuel gauge may have stopped reading, it had not been accurate but hoping to get to that some day
