I just installed the painless wiring headlight relays to run non-sealed beam light (H4) this weekend. The "housings" I have (which came from year one) have the colored halo thing. I did it for giggles, but now wondering if I should keep the puerto rican day parade bicycle look....
I wired it to...
I have no garage and I have a $200 cover, but it lets rain in quite fine. I understand that it needs to breathe, but I want a cover that breathes and lets in NO RAIN. Any suggestions? $$ no object.
I see your point. Wasn't thinking about lining up the distributor to point to #1. Thought I'd have to mark it regardless. I'll go ahead and do it that way at least I'll know where I can start lashing!
I don't have the heads off.
The important thing is to keep the distributor gear in sync with the cam. If I just remember to put it back the way I took it out I don't need to worry about TDC at all, or am I missing something?

Remove everything including the...

Do I HAVE to find TDC to swap the heads? Can't I just mark the heck out of the distributor and reassemble everything before I start lashing the valves? So when I start turning it over everything will be back in place?

I tapped the cig lighter also, but I may have a problem. I tried to use the lighter as a power port for a car CB radio and started smelling electrical burn. Not sure if it was the shitty CB or if it was drawing too many amps through my splice. Anyone have success tapping the cig lighter and...
I tightened the alternator a little, since it was the loosest. I squirted a little handsoap in the pulley valleys and turned it over a few times. Went for a cruise....
Still there!
Parked and went inside the fancy beer store and went for another cruise. Well lo and behold I couldn't get it to...
