Headlight bulbs are 9004, which is a combined high/low bulb. Turn signals are 2057A. Side marker lights are 194.

Good stuff. I need to replace all my lines as well. I have a slight leak from the line near the rear passenger tire. The car has been stored for a few years now until I get the time, money, and space to start the restoration.

This is sweet!! I removed all my chrome trim to see what I'm up against when I paint the car and found some rot thru on the bottom of the front doors. Not a lot, but enough to make me want new doors, or at least skins These look great. Can't wait till they're available!

OK, my driver side front hardline has sprung a leak right at the fitting where it connects to the rubber flex hose. I need to know how the hardline runs down from the master cylinder to the frame area. Does it go from the master cylinder to a disto block then to the front wheel area? Anyone...

Most definitely. I love my DD, a 300M Special, but my Cutlass is just so awesome to drive. I take the long way home, go out of my way just to drive it. I love it. Someone asks if I want to sell it almost every day...lol.

quick update...i've changed my mind and i'm gonna keep the olds all olds :) probably 350 rocket but i found a place that sells a crate turnkey 307 with 300hp...kinda piqued my interest..may look into that. other than that the car is still about the same. i had the carb rebuilt as read...

I'll be 30 in October but my first car was a 1979 Cutlass when I was 17/18 in 1999. 3rd car was a 1978 cutlass when I was 21. Love g-bodies. :)

I just had my ccc qjet rebuilt recently by Custom Rebuilt Carbs. www.customrebuiltcarbs.com They did a great job, all pull offs replaced, new electronic parts, etc. Completely disassembled cleaned and wet flow tested. Cheap too, only ran me $265 plus shipping.

I did a bunch of reading up on that....I haven't hooked mine up yet since its been 90+ temps lately..no need for a choke lol. From what I understand you just need to hook that wire to a ignition switched 12volt circuit. Apparently the best ways are either an oil pressure switch or a relay off...

Ok, I found vacuum diagram..I had 2 lines reversed. Fixed that and let it run a bit...it quit smoking. I think that was just from it sitting for 2-3 months without being started. It drives and feels about how it did before the rebuild...which is like a dog. I know the timing chain had...

I agree don't cut it up! I barely see any G-Bodies anymore...and the ones I do are all rotted out!
