I can't get over how clean that truck is. Every time I take a part off of mine I find hidden rot
It has some rot, trust me, I just don't show it off, luckily nothing as major as most.

It's never just, "Get it running and drive it", with you, is it?
Nope, I haven't been able to do that in years. Dad started this when I was 16 by making me take any car I bought and making sure brakes/steering/tires/suspension were up to snuff before letting me hit the road. The rest blossomed along with my OCD. 😀 Forgot to add, we discussed stripping down the firewall to paint it too.....

Your Dad taught you well....🙂

I'd rather start with a beater and put the time into it, then I know what I have. And not be surprised by it later. I just don't have the spare time anymore...joining the masses...

Last time I took off one of my fenders I had to hurry up and make a firewall. And I don't like the way I did it lol

Last few days, even more work. Steering box input shaft seal has been replaced but the stupid boot on the upper steering shaft had a crack so it got disassembled again for a rebuild kit with a new boot and fresh paint again.

Also the hinges came out of the magic juice in great shape albeit a little loose. Some fresh paint laid on too.

Put the fenders outside, sandblasted the rust from a prior exploded battery and put some primer on to get ready for paint.

Also had the last two new tire mounted and balanced

I really like the white wheel white dog dish hubcap combo. Been trying to find some 6 lug 15x8" steelies and late 60's early 70's dog dish caps (just like yours only smaller) for my 80 K10. Can't wait to see your truck roll down the road!

Where there's a will, there's a way! Consider christening your parts hauler 'the Colonel' (Mustard). Unless the whole thing turns white...
