thanks man, and ya it does sit a little high, i dont know why but i dont want it to sit so high, front springs i have 350 small block springs, and not sure about the rear for springs but im going to change them out, because there is shock extenders in the rear, which gives me a horrible wheel hop, i wanna have it a little lower then what i have it but have a little rake to it

Looking good. I really like the interior and engine. I recently picked up some seats like in your car, but they're non reclining. I have been cleaning them up and dying them as my interior is gray. I think the leather/vinyl seats are unique. I still need one more vinyl/leather bucket to complete my set tho, one of the seats was terrible, the rest were great shape.

I'm not sure if these are leather or vinyl?

Could any1 inform us as to how rare these seats are?

good luck on the rebuild, looks like it's going great

no problem. you found another set of cutlass seats? cool, I know they aren't the easiest to find. You could probably spray the part of the black seats that you want tan,tan and leave the part you want black, black if they're in good shape. You wouldnt have to spend alot to have them done that way anyway. I would love to find some vinyl door panels for mine, but I cant find any that are for pwr windows and locks.

i know the 78 calais models and H/O have the vinyl buckets, i found a set out of a calais parts car, payed 50$ for them i deff do like the power windows, but i dont have power locks, i wouldn't mind having power locks though haha

Yep, they had them. Oh, cool @ like a pull a part or something? That's a good buy. Mine were in a '79 regal. The early regal, monte, malibu, etc used the cutlass seats untill 1982-ish, then they all had their own. I just gotta find one more bucket vinyl seat of any color in good condition, gonna see what I can't find @ my nxt junkyrd stop. My pwr locks dnt work, but they're still there. lol

i'll keep an eye out for ya, i actually found the car on craigslist, i need 78 calais grills, and i cant find them anywhere!

yep, even decent factory seat covers @ good price would be cool with me. What kinda condition was ur passenger seat material in? I didn't see it in the pics. I think the material on these seats can be used for pass or driver side. although, there would be 2 small holes where the seat belt guides go, which would be much better than a junk seat.
