this is the serpentine set up I have on my SBC in my GP and there is no problem with the clearance of the power steering pulley and the steering gear

Ok. That's is the one out of a car. The one on my engine is out of a truck and it's different. I was trying not to have to change the whole serpentine system just because of the power steering pump pulley. I might just have to change it

Did you try the S10 pulley that was suggested?

If it was up to me I'd change the brackets for the ones used in the car, they aren't hard to find and it's not a difficult job....

There must be a smaller diameter pulley that will get you the clearance you need. What mounts are you using? Truck mounts (block side) should be taller than the car mounts.
Using car mounts on the block side

It should be. I have saw picture of car that got the whole truck system in there gbody so it's a way. Just not sure what they did.

all the components work on either set up, I had a broken part on the bracket so I bought a used set up that included all the components for $100

The engine will not set in place in the frame with truck mounts.

Do you have any pics?
