200-4R Dual Exhaust Crossmember

I have some frame rail pad extensions you can weld on if you want another option besides the bolt-on extension.

Summit carries frame rail extensions for around $75 or less. I used one when I swapped an 84 El Camino frame for my rust-rotted 87 frame. Parts folks sometimes don't know about this extension being required to allow installing a transmission cross member into different vehicles.

I used the frame rail extension I got with my Summit copy GForce crossmember when I put in my TH400. Works great. It’s taken the abuse I’ve given it so far.

I mean absolutely no disrespect whatsoever, but I can't help but notice the ginger with dreads- it's not something you see every day. I like that young man for being different!

Thanx for posting an example of the bolt in extension...

...which I think we established early in this thread that the OP owns a '85 and won't need the extension...just trying to make it clear pre ~'84 frames require something similar.
The OPs car should have this existing piece...

The pieces I had made match the factory 200-R4 pad in the picture except for the holes.

Transmission pad extensions posted in the For Sale section.
