Wow, that's a clean looking line lock install. You recently seen some of my uncleanly handiwork of that nature lol.

Looking forward to seeing some results!!

Drove about 6hrs to the track today. Had lunch at motion raceworks. 36 cars on drag weekend this year.

Got to track at 430ish, swapped the car over to drag use, lanes opened at 530.

Made my first pass, noticed the flex sensor was stuck at 30%, purposely bogged the launch since I wanted to make sure the new clutch grabbed. 12.63 @119 2.36 60ft. Timing was low (14ish) because the it thought e was low. Also a bit lean so need to get that fixed.

Went back to pits to diagnose flex sensor. Was lack of voltage. Turned it to be a popped fuse. Switch fuse and get back into lanes, starts drizzling. Wait a bit, didn't get better. End up calling the day a rain day after I got one purposely bad pass. Hrmph.

Hopefully it's not wet tomorrow.

Yeah, don't waste passes on Drag and Drive events. You never know how many you might get.

Bad news is the car left Byron on a trailer again

Good news is I don't own the car anymore. My buddy that bought the wagon had a random injector stick closed or something and torched a piston at the 1000 rolling to 10.99 or something. Brand newish ls turbo setup. Sucks.

My junk stayed in one piece and off a trailer. I worked on dialing in my launch rpm and tuning out my bog.

Started at 3500 launch rpm and the clutch delay almost full open. Ended up with 4400rpm launch and pretty close to closed on the valve to get it to not bog. Last pass was feeling really good, 1.67 60 before I missed a shift and ran out of time. I ran a 1.67, 1.70 and 1.67 in a row which is the fastest 60 by over a tenth and it's never done that in a row. I tuned the bog out past the 60ft so it doesn't reflect a ton on the 60ft times but it was still there father out. The last pass it seems pretty good but I didn't make a full pass with the miss shift and ran outta time.

Best of 11.72 at 119.5. I'm car 0210, I cut my best pass off on the photo but trust me it's there. It just felt smooth and slow, nothing crazy. It even bogged to 2800rpm at like 90ft out. If I kept it above 3500 I bet it would have been faster too.

I'd say the launch is dialed in pretty good. I know what it needs and the suspension, clutch and other changes helped. I plan to put 2psi more boost in tomorrow and see what my mph does.

I usually shift at 6000-6200. I tried a pass at 6750 and lost 5mph. Might fiddle with timing also. TBD.

Intent was to trick people into thinking I blew the rear axle up again lol.

2+2 is still mine :)

That's a killer, repeatable, 60' time for a standard style clutch. Congrats.

As for your car losing power past 6750rpm... where did your calculated air mass go? You can quickly tell by your air/fuel going rich past a certain point meaning the pump ran out of mass/flow or turned into a hot air machine and the programmed timing exacerbated the problem.

Or belt slip.

I’m curious as to what the issue is as well.

Is it possible the blower is out of flow?

Not sure about why it looses power shifting at 6750 vs 6400. IAT didn't climb over 5-10f between the two and I only pull like 2 degrees of timing starting at 165 and IAT's didn't climb above 160 until the last couple hundred feet. It was down a couple mph at the 1/8 too?

Made it to the last track today. Put the smaller pulley on and gained 1.5 psi and found another 2-2.5mph on the top end. 122 which is my best.

Also got the launch really dialed in. 1.62 as my best! 1.72 as my worst across 4 passes.

Got 2 clean passes in, 11.62 and 11.60.

I couldn't get it into 2nd gear under load on my last 2 passes. I think my synchros are out. Bummer my best 60 which was 0.05 faster than my 11.60 pass was a miss shift, likely would have been low 11.50.

I'm driving the car home under it's own power so it's a win
