BUILD THREAD 86 GP 2+2~Blown 6.0

Oh and it's going to be kinda depressing having this car in storage. With the new clutch and some tuning updates the car just rocks. Driveability and everything is awesome. Best it's ever been. Really happy with how it's turned out!

Something to look forward to.

I’ll throw this out there. It feels good to me to be at or almost at the end of the driving/racing season and my junk is running and ready. Knowing it’s broke and things have to be fixed is different. Not bad, just different.

Totally! I thought about what is there left doing and all I can think of is rear grear swap, rear view mirror, and radio (and paint)

Usually I've had a big to do list but besides paint it's pretty short and knowing it's ready to go is a good feeling!

Yeah not much cheap about a 4200 but it presents a good fabrication challenge. Haltec has a good I6 ECU available for not insane money (the stock ecu's are almost un-tunable).

Well the that's a 'Nomega' to the Omega. Bondo over rust from 10 years ago, goober welded patch panels in the spring perches. Probably could be brought back with another rust free incomplete shell but I don't have the space or need to piece an Omega together at this point from 3 cars.

The guy selling it said his son was drag racing it and bought it 10 years ago and bought it off eBay for $3700 out of TN with an advertised strong 350 SBC. Turned out to have a oil burning 305. It's been sitting outside in a wet yard for 5 years so it's a nope.

It's not terrible but ehh, kinda out of my scope.

Amazing work in this thread! Keep it up! It's gone a long way into convincing me not to sell my car. Thanks for the inspiration.

Glad I can provide some motivation.

Honestly I kinda ended up with the car because it was local, cheap, and was a place to drop an engine in that I bought using my tax refund.

It's turned out to be a pretty fun/unique ride and I've had a lot of fun with it.

This showed up today along with an appoligetic letter from Holley about how they lost the long haul magnets and they turned up months late.

Despite the fact that I'm a poser and only went days 3-5, I still got a magnet.

I guess they just sent them to everyone who did power tour. I won't complain.
