BUILD THREAD 86 GP 2+2~Blown 6.0

I'm certainly not finding any $200 6.0's anymore so I'd prefer to keep the rods straight.

I can trade .2 seconds at the track for non bendy rods or butted rings. Unless it goes 11.2, then it might get the rod bender tune lol.
That's when you give away $100 for two 5 gallon pails of C16 and add in 3-5 degrees and hope you don't spin.

That's a 2-fer race car powertrain. And like $40 freedom bucks after the candian Kopeck exchange!

SMH - Mike definitely needs some Gen 3's so he can practice his engine swapping skills.

New guy here, trying to play catch up, but...is the 4200 going in the Cutlass eventually? Love your 2+2!

Cutlass got a grand national spec Buick turbo 6. I have a build thread a few pages back in this forum.

I'm trying to find a 73/74 olds omega or Buick Apollo (nova chassis) hatch to do a drag week style 8.50 legal build with, powered by a 4200 atlas to start with, but I'm cheap and looking for a very low production chassis in decent shape which is difficult.

I can't debate any of the choices there! Love me the Buick turbo 6 too (though never owned or driven one...just a fan from afar). I was following along pretty well, and then I'll admit I skipped a few pages. My pie in the sky idea is to atlas swap my GP, but we'll see.

Lol I don't blame you, 144 pages over 7 years I get lost myself...

I think the emtec motorsports guy made the swap oil pan for a g body, but I haven't seen any pictures to confirm so I don't know.

I'd love to see an atlas 4.2 g body. I think it would fit pretty good and if you stay mostly stock NA a 60e would be a great bolt in option with an off the shelf cross member. I almost bought an 06 atlas just to test fit on my cutlass but the deal fell through.

Car is packed and ready to hit the track tomorrow!
