I bought one of those for my T5 swap. Haven't installed it yet. How bad does it hang down?

I saw that but man the way I measured i don't know how it will fit. That loop has to be 8 inches tall and would hang way below and was concerned it would hit the exhaust.

Good to hear it does fit if I cant get mine to fit.

Designed a flat bar safety loop. 1/4X 2 cold rolled. Friend of mine welded it. Considering building a few to sell since nobody makes a flat one anymore, fastmonte website is down. Probably 80-90 bucks but tbd.

Also had a work car show and finally got the picture I've wanted for years. 442/Turbo Buick/2+2. Still need a monte though!

Nice I have one of FastMonte's in my garage.

But if I remember correctly it will only clear a stock diameter driveshaft.

whats the dimensions of that driveshaft loop? thanks

It's pretty complicated but basically 4" wide at the top tapering down to about 8" at the bottom. I have a 3.5" drive shaft with over 1" of clearance around all sides as it is.

Bolted it in tonight and it fits awesome. I guess my measurements measured up!
