BUILD THREAD 87 Cutlass EFI build: 9/13/23..NEW STUFF!

I got home from work and drove right into re priming the wheelwell I've been sanding on. I was excited until the high build flashed! Looks like I got a little wild with the 180 paper and scuffed into the plastic in areas seen in right side pic. After consulting with RKTPWRD I have a plan of attack from here out, but I really like the progress so far a d I'm learning new skills.

Once the kids crashed I jacked the car up and got the charge wire made. Also move the starter wires over some to prevent issues with the header tubes. While under the car I screwed in both 02's, but no way in hell the O2 socket will work so I just muscled them tight.

I'm pretty sure the wiring is complete with the exception of getting new bulbs, plugging in lights, etc. I was REALLY REALLY close to hooking up the battery just to see if it will crank, but don't wanna be in the doghouse. Maybe tomorrow.

Let’s see 7/8”? Might have an extra coat hook for the Colorado cabin I could loan ya?

Figure I better update the stuff here too. After what seems like forever I got the engine to crank with the key! Still have some electrical work to do as the fuel pump isn't priming nor the gauges lighting up. Progress is progress and I'll take it!!!!
Also ordered a new steering wheel today, but gonna wait until it's installed before I post pics.

As a level headed guy I assume you have a fire extinguisher at the ready ......
Always!!! My wife looked at me silly earlier when I brought it out here. Told her "ya never know and I'm not gonna be unprepared!" Last engine had a "small" oil leak at the rear of valve cover... dripping right onto the driver side collector. Kinda cool but frantic when a little fireball is burning away!
