Relax, take a break, start over!

So I ended up getting the rear window trim installed, but not without scratching the sail panel trim some which pissed me off!!! Only thing I can think is the metal got tweaked just enough from heat during the roof skin replacement.
With that being said, I touched up the paint but it looks crappy right now because it's still wet. I'll hit it again tomorrow to level it out and should look just fine.

It is all a process. In the end you probably won't even think twice about the hiccups.

Yeah, I get it. Just blows donkey balls when hours are spent prepping and painting stuff to have it get scratched, scraped, gouged etc. Then gotta spend more time fixing sh*t that got f'd up because it doesn't wanna fit like it once did!
Glad that assembly part is done, glass is half full and moving forward.

Just wait until your kids touch it! The inside of my new car is already covered in mud and sand. It is only nice once... but, nothing that can't be fixed.

Interior is hard. That was our experience with the Camaro. Bolting stuff on under the hood and under the car...that's the fun part.

Looks like dog crap. You should immediately sign the title of that POS over to me, and I can relieve you of that headache (once you get the engine fine-tuned, of course).

😛

Seriously, I know sometimes a nick here and a scratch here may seem monumental because YOU know it's there. Trust me on this, once it's all together and you're driving it, nobody else is likely to ever notice. I was looking hard at the pictures and I can't even see anything of issue, so a casual observer isn't going to see a thing. Think of the main focal point of the interior...when you look at a car, how often do you scan the back seat area? I thought so. It's the front seat(s) and dash/console area that gets people's attention.

it comes with the territory,we're doing it ourselves & we pour ourselves into every inch of these cars and want everything to be perfect.there's more things than i can count about my car that i'm not happy with and it wasn't for a lack of trying(believe me)but when all is said and done all the b.s that drives us crazy,it'll all will be worth it because you did it yourself.these little scratches and everything we're the only ones that that can see them.a little kid gave me thumbs up on the highway this weekend,it doesn't get any better than that, scratches and all.

It does suck when you've done all that work only to scratch it yourself..... But hey, we are all going to be driving our cars on the highway and some truck is going to kick up a nasty rock and smack your car in one place or another.... It's happened to me too many times... I've had 2 brand new trucks in my life that within one week of owning them got the windshield cracked by some foreign object..... :wtf:

I get it, just frustrating that's all. I'm moving on. The paint needs another quick coat, but looks good and 99% will never notice the areas...
