Congratulations!!! Always a great feeling to get one moving under it's own power.

Awesome Scott...real happy for you! You've put alot of hard work into the car...nice to see it moving under its own power. You should be proud of what you've done!

Thanks Kevin, and yeah I'm pretty stoked this far! I have to admit though, it wouldn't be moving without the help of guys here as well. Yeah, I'm the one putting in the sweat equity, but guys helping with part selection, fixing gremlins, pushing me to stay motivated when I feel like slacking, tuning help has been YUGE!!!! I can't thank guys on this forum enough, they know who they are! Honestly, my beautiful wife too....putting up with me working as much OT as possible to prevent anything Cutty funds related from coming out of our normal income. She has rarely griped or said anything for me spending alot of time sanding, painting, fabwork, sanding, prepping, painting, etc. All the late nights when I should be getting rest for work, but instead chipping away in the shop (RKTPWRD) can vouch for this!

The tune is super close to dead nutz on, my GBF tuning wizard knows his stuff!!!! I think/hope I figured out the trans shifting issue last night. Once moving the trans shifts from 1st to 4th real quick, but on decel will only shift to 2and and bog the engine as maybe heard in the crappy video yesterday.
A guy on LS1tech had the same identical issue, and it turned out the speedo controls were calibrated wrong in reference to rear gear and VSS (vehicle speed sensor) data. Soooo, at midnight last night I was mathing to get the parameters set right. Everything is saved, just have to flash it when I get home and test drive again, fingers crossed!!!!

So I got my order today from Dixie resto which is the door water shields and insulation. Not their fault, but man those things fit like garbage! I had to fight with the water shield...the cuts are a bit off but I got it installed. Same thing with the insulation, but it'll be fine. I need more big xmas tree clips but the driver door is basically ready for door panels.

Got the Cutlass out earlier, let it warm up and took it for a cruise around the hood to check the trans and such. All I gotta say is once it gets dialed all the way in it's gonna be a riot! It's super snappy, shifts good, sounds good, etc. Hot idle is still acting silly with the IAC whistle, but both my wife and girls were smiling ear to ear riding around, that's what it's about! Got this video prior to driving because the sun was reflecting off the metallic like crazy!
