Found this on ls1tech. Worth checking into. The info below is referring to the Chinese made 92-102mm throttle bodies.

“Not all throttle bodies are machined for the large plastic LS1 pintle, so you are likely using the wrong IAC for it. Unless you have the hard idle set so low it has to be open for the car to run. It is likely just not able to close correctly. GM 17112350 has a smaller metal pintle and is wired the same as the LS1. Now if it only does it while the car is cold then it's just because of the design.”

“Update- Using said IAC motor, and after a retune, that whistle is GONE.

soooo, check your tune and buy that part number.“

GM p/n superseded to 19351706. List price $170. Ebay shows one for about $78

However, the 17112350 is still available on ebay new if you needed one. Saw one for about $80 bucks.

But where are they made...that is the question. Hmmmm.

Started working on my custom battery tray covers for the wheelwells. I need to obviously finish sanding the driver side, and noticed a couple spots that need spot putty. Did the normal process, template out of paperboard, transfer to metal and trim to fit right, then they will get transferred to CF.

Gotta watch the "fits" term. It usually will list a few part numbers to validate the fitment, but that doesn't mean it's a GM part or of OEM quality. I can rest assured at less than 10 bucks for one of these....it's a big big maybe. I don't know much about these IAC solenoid things, but I would liken them to the O2 sensors for a G-body. If you're not running genuine Delco/Delphi/flavor of the month that was GM OEM, then you're rolling the dice. It may be ok. Or it may not.

Thanks my friend, getting antsy to start driving it now! It really does need an alignment bad, and my neighbor said he'll set it up when he gets back from Florida in a couple weeks.

Btw, do you or any other guys know a good alignment set point. How much camber/caster, toe and such???

As much caster as you can get, up to ten degrees even ( I could get only 6 degrees on mine) 1/16" toe, 1.5 degrees camber
