Had to mow the yard today, but in order to get the mower out i had to move some parts out of the way! The shed is damn near like a paint oven, so i pulled some stuff that was dry.

My taillights are now assembled, i just need to protect them until they go on the car.

love the carbon fiber accents, it's the little things that make the build!

Agreed Darin, I absolutely love the look of it, and have used quite a bit so far. I still have more places it will go, especially some interior pieces, but I've got plenty of time before i address that part of the build.

Cutting the stuff takes patience to avoid the fibers from fraying out, but i use a real sharp pair of good scissors, or a sharp hobby knife and it works pretty well.

Lol, so true! One of the things I've tried to do with the cutlass is incorporate what i like from different genres of modified cars. It's bad enough my dad calls me mr carbon fiber lol! My wallet is leather and CF, my glasses have it, crap i think i need to see a professional about this problem:)

They look great! You gotta be siked
Eric....that's an understatement! You guys know I've spent a boatload of time tge past week or so getting this stuff done. I have more lights to clean up ugh!
I'm gonna grab a box from work tomorrow and wrap them in some VERY soft blankets or similar to protect them until reassembly.

So i got out my corner lights a couple nights ago so that i could sand the chipping black paint from the surround area. For being 30 years old they look really good! My intention was to do a quick wet sand on the lenses, then polish, then repaint the black areas....

Wellllll, after looking closely at them i noticed some minor scuffs and scratches. I attempted to get rid of them with 600 grit to no avail! So, my OCD kicked in and i sanded them down with 320, then 400:blam:!!!!

As of now, i have the surround areas taped off so i can wet sand the lenses from 600 up to 5000 grit, then polish as I've done with the other lights.
