Man I still keep going back and forth about doing this or a set of twinsThis thread at the bottom of page 1 of the Build Threads sub-forum?
On the topic of GT45s here's another comparison:
The consideration that needs to be what power can the rest of your car hold... and for how long? You may want 1000hp, but if you cannot effectively use it there is no reason to have it. If a $163 turbo fits your project needs properly then it is the proper turbo for your application.

Twins are cool to look at but the packaging is a nightmare. A single GT45 on a 4.8 or 5.3L is a lot more engine than most people will ever need.
What did that video show... 750-800hp and 800ft/lbs at the crank? In a 3500lb car that is going to f*ck someone's sh*t up.
How dare you talk bad on my Tommy?! There are no bad movies! You are forgetting one important thing
BOOST IS ADDICTIVE
It's like a bad Tom Cruise movie - 'you can never go back'
If it ain't a T6, then it belongs on a 4 cylinder

Yeah no doubt top end is more than I'll ever need or use but I hear there is some lag with the GT45. I'll never have it on the track, just looking for minimal lag and around 600 so when I give her the goose she goesTwins are cool to look at but the packaging is a nightmare. Lag is not necessarily a bad thing. With a 200 hpr engine. Lag makes it suck. A little lag with a 700 hpr engine. Means traction or not. Take a ride in a high horse power turbo car, and you will see why they are so awesome.Yeah no doubt top end is more than I'll ever need or use but I hear there is some lag with the GT45. I don't know anyone with one running at the moment 🤣 I was hoping with the AWD and 12" tires in the rear I should get some decent bite to keep tractionLag is not necessarily a bad thing.
