Here's a couple pics of the car with the wheels on. Had to take a little break from tuning and get a little instant gratification(after fighting wheel locks that I lost the key to  ). Looks good tho! 😀

Re: Crucial118's 86 Cutty Salon 350TPI/400HSR build w/ video

Just put in a Northern radiator. It is a fully tig welded 31x19 model, but it is also 2.5" thick. The tanks were huge. It needed a little mods to make it fit(probably be selling the upper radiator bracket), but should be a great upgrade for the 406 monster. Didn't come with any fittings for the oil cooler or overflow, so I had to take a trip to Home Depot to make some. Also had to fab some mounting brackets. Came out good though. Now, just need to hook the fans up to a new dual speed controller I just got. Oh, check out the valve covers...representing Chevy powerplant hard, in the Cutty. 😀 Hey, if some guys can put in a Ford 9" without saying it under their breath, I definitely ain't ashamed to boast my Chevy power in an Olds.

Your engine looks like a beast. Now I am thinking about letting my brother get my 305 and just build me another engine. I got a 9 inch hooked to my car, be glad once I see how it ride.
Thanks, and you haven't even driven you car yet and already thinking of upgrading. 😀 I am having problems with fuel, I think. Once warmed up, it falls on its face at low rpm acceleration. Along with a slight backfire from the tail pipe. Timing is at 6 degrees btdc, so I don't think that the problem. Fuel pressure is good at idle, but when accelerating in park, sometimes it goes up, but sometimes it also goes down. Maybe leaning out, idk. Gonna check the inline filter tomorrow(I hope its clogged), then go from there. I sure was hoping this thing would fire up an run great from the turn of the key, but I see that didn't happen. Oh well, life of a car hobbyist.

How is the car coming alone?
Just drove it today after fixing a couple mishaps. The car was backfiring and bucking real bad under load. Turned out the plug wires were really bad. I replaced everything ignition related before looking at the wires. 😳 K.I.S.S. Replaced the coil, module, cap, rotor, and just could figure what it was. I was about to adjust my rockers and look at my valves when I thought about checking the wires. I reused the wires from the 350. I guess they got burned pretty bad before I wrapped my headers. The boots were real soft and a couple actually broke when I tried to take them out of the header socks(Summit brand wires and socks). Then once I swapped the wires for some of the ceramic booted Accel wires and put in new plugs, I took it for a test drive around the block. It drove pretty good, but when I got back to the house, my drivers side header was smoking like crazy. The oil dipstick(cheap chrome AutoZone) had come loose and was spitting oil all over my headers under acceleration. Whelp...back to http://www.summit.com I went and ordered a Lokar locking dipstick tube. That is a great piece. It came with two o-rings on the part that goes into the block and a tab to mount to a header bolt. I installed it with a dab of rtv high temp silicone. I adjusted the timing to 6 degrees btdc and fuel pressure to 41psi today and it is driving real good. 😀 Idles great now and throttle response it awesome. Guess the 406 likes the roller cam choice. I ordered a fuel pressure gauge yesterday, so I can see what its doing while driving. I am also gonna order a wide band afr gauge in a couple weeks so I can tune it a little better. The damn things cost so much for a 2-1/16 gauge. :wtf: Guess cause it comes with the o2 sensor. Now I have to start building confidence in the car so I can drive a little farther on each trip. Hopefully soon, I can get enough confidence to make it to O.C. before season end(I doubt it). But there has definitely been some progress. I'm happy now, but I was about to burn it up when I couldn't figure out what was going on with the backfire issues.

Oh, just realized I'm in the "G-Body Build Threads" now. Thanks for the move. 😀
