Does anyone else find sunroofs useless?

I like mine. I use the one mode to vent the interior and the other just to be silly

Are you using a factory set up for this or going aftermarket?
More than likely, I'll be using a factory GM set up, of some sort. Pontiac G6 seems to be a good choice. I'll consider anything though. I'm a Junkyard Junky who likes to swap stuff around. Hell, I may go full panoramic... sliding rag...?? Oh, what did I just start... I better get out of here!😊

bought a 2018 impala. it has one.its the wifes daily . when she drives it in nice weather its always open. when i drive it i put the shade over it.dont really care for them my self

Couple of cars ago, wife picked the one with a sunroof when she was buying a driver. We owned it 4 years, had the roof open 3 times

Total waste of money, and problems waiting to happen, IMO

Both my Sunfires have them and I like them. My Grandson automatically opens it as soon as he climbs in. Great on long trips to vent the air quietly without opening the windows. On cool sunny days it is a real pleasure. I had an aftermarket POS one on an '80 Firebird that sucked. Leaked all the time and was not tinted properly so you roasted from the Sun even in Winter.

I could see that in a lot of the country, here we have winter and hot/sticky as hell, no spring or fall, it seems

I love my sunroof. My wife doesn’t even seem to notice that she has one. I take good care of ours, bc I’ve seen what happens when they leak. I keep the seal lubed with silicone so they don’t dry out and squeak/leak, and I blow the drains out every time I change the oil. I don’t play around!

My Vibe work car has one. I maybe opened it twice. Once when I was checking it out before I bought it and once on the way home. No leaks or other complaints, I just keep the shade closed and don't think about it. My wife's Venza doesn't have one but she'd like a newer one in a couple years. They had a Pano roof -- that's a completely glass top with a slider in front and a moonroof for the rear passengers. There were problems with the 3rd panel shattering without warning. I'll be trying to avoid that option. Cool concept though.
