Yup, consider an Ebay distributor though if it is within budget, that's what I am running in the Regal. And different distributor and lock up kit?

Your right it could happen at anytime,,but it can happen with any carb,,,my main goal is to get away from quadrajet,,,I have nothing against anyone who uses them or swears buy them but to me they are junk and I have no use for them,,,,but that is my opinion. It's not IF but when......many have gone down this path and regretted hacking up their car with an Edelbroke

also not a fan of quadrajet
Maybe, but not me. I messed with one for a few years. Ended up putting a Holley on that was too big, made the engine bigger, then made the carb bigger again. Granted, I had a bunch of cobbled together junk. Now, I DO think that getting one (re)built for ~$300 is a much better option than even putting a FREE Edeljunk on. When they work, they work well. When they don't, they're a Pandora's box of carb voodoo.people say that cause the carb is a mystery to them. Once you learn how to work on them you'll have an informed and probably different opinion of a Quadrajet.
