Just ordered another gallon of the Summit base. I'll just put 10 more coats on for coverage. Lol. I've already got the wheels, engine, and underside of decklid painted and cleared so not wanting to change color. If these people would get out of my house I could get something done

Paint? More like body armor. The Aeroback will just laugh at hail. Hand each guest an unopened beer and tell them opener is back at their house...

Started to clean the heck out of my garage and forgot my 4 speed is in a million pieces. Instead of cleaning shop, I blasted my 4 speed case, tail shaft, and bell housing. After a thorough wash and blowing, I painted everything. I got most of the guts back in but forgot I ordered new bearings from Oreilleys 2 weeks ago. I never picked them up and bet they sent them back. I'm going to go early in the morning and get them reordered and hopefully can pick them up around noon. All the older and experienced guys work the morning shift there. Then my trans is DONE. I'll post pics tomorrow. May paint the car Thursday or Friday. Fingers crossed

That's awesome, it'll be painted soon! Can't wait to see the pics.

CRAP! Oreilleys ordered the bearings but they won't be here till tomorrow. After reordering the bearings, I went to my local hardware store and bought new grade 8 bolts and lock washers for everything. Trans should look nice and hopefully works smoothly

All you need now is a vertigate!!!

Looks great and shout work good as new.

Started early and got my shed and garage cleaned / arranged. When I uncovered the Salon I found a bad scratch about one inch long on the quarter. Also noticed one factory lead seam has some bubbles. So now I got some work that I did not want before I can respray. Yay

I sanded the bad spots with 400 and did not take much to find the black sealer. I'm thinking my new Devilbiss is not putting out much base coat. This would explain the multiple coats. I had used my primer gun on the wheels and engine and that coated fine. Hmmm, I better check the needle size in that new gun.
