It's looks amazing....I dig the gold stripes against the orange. I could only imagine what it's going to look like assembled.
That's a bummer about your compressor motor takin' a dump.

If I had the extra funds, I'd buy a new one too. This 80 gallon Kobalt from Lowes is barely 2 years old.

I understand there. At least my old compressor was 15 years old, so it really didn't own me anything.

Been dragging out boxes of parts that have not seen light since 2008. Noticed the lower rear window trims both have a couple dents. I know where 3 four door aeros are but all in separate salvages and cities. Does anyone know if the 2 bottom rear window trim pieces are the same from a 4 door to 2 door? I've got a lot of spare parts that I did not know I had. I did realize that I do not have the tach filter. Car was not originally a ralley gauge but bought one to put in. Anyone got a tach filter?

I think I've got a few tach filters here...if you can't find something more local..do you need the white wire that's in the cluster harness and needed for the tach as well?

My wifes friends husband has a 69 Chevy truck that's all he has. His wife got laid off and they think he's going to be pretty soon. They have a couple kids and having hard times. The truck just blew the engine on the highway. I stepped up and offered to help patch him another 350 together with extra parts I have That I won't be using. I'm going to freshen it up and replace it for them at no charge. He has little to no mechanical experience but the 69 truck is his favorite. This will knock out a couple days of build time on my Salon but if someone needs help, I'm gonna do what I can. I knew keeping some of this junk around here would pay off someday!

Went and picked up my compressors motor this morning. I also stopped by the salvage I frequent for aero parts. He has a 2 and 4 door there. I got the lower back window trim and clips. The ones I have here are dented so now I got nice ones. I also removed and bought the bottom windshield trim under the wipers from a Monte Carlo that looks really nice. Mine is gone. I guess I did not get one when I bought the car back. I also removed the trim on the drip rail from the 4 door. This is a long piece for aeros. Mine has a couple small dings but this one looked fantastic. I got the stuff for $20. I could have spent hours there but had to get my dads car back to him. I love going through salvages.

We got started on the truck this morning. I'm pretty sure his block is broke. There's an outward mark on the oil pan and when I pulled the drain plug, water came out. We were going to use his block with internals I have here. He said he has a Ford Explorer that he's going to use. So I told him to save up for a good rebuild job and we'd go from there. I thought they needed that truck but it's not the case. He's going to have it towed to his house. I'm a bit relieved since my Salon is main priority. Now I'm going back to the garage to get something done on my Salon. If your reading this, you need to get your @$$es out in your garage and work on your G bodys too! Lol

If only I had a garage...

Just redid my exhaust for the third time this year (finally no leaks), and replaced the A.I.R. tubes, as the old ones were rusted and somehow still hanging onto the heads. They ended up being packed solid with carbon too (?!).

But anyway, looks like a factory color combo even though it really isn't. The factory body colored rallyes are the only way to go with these cars, contrary to what the doofballs on that insipid "Gas Monkey" show said about the Cutlass their turning into a lowrider (destroying).

Good to hear you finally got the Summit paint to work. There's a salvage yard here I'd like to get back to as there were a couple Regals with some good parts left I needed to get parts off of, but my last visit about 2 years ago was not pleasant (my car was broken into/vandalized), so I haven't been back.
