I got my engine and trans bolted in, intake on, fuel pump, mini starter, most of the hidden wiring done, and working on smoothing the alternator brackets. Does not seem like much but the wiring took the most time. I ended up running the AC compressor wire through the tubing also. Going to the parts store tomorrow to see if I can find a pre formed (bent) PCV hose.

I saw this mod on an old episode of Rides and did it to my slammed 87 SS a few years ago
I don't have a patent on it, I was just commenting on the similarities.
😵
It's definitely a great way to make unsightly wiring "disappear".
Keep up the great work sir.

Got a smooth going morning so far. Got the blue dash painted tan. I also did the corner plastic pieces too that go on the lower A pillar. I just blasted about 20 small parts and have about 20 more to go. Letting the compressor have a break so I don't burn it up. Going to do a lot of small parts painting today so I can go crazy with assembly this weekend.

I painted a BUNCH of smalls today. I've had a gallon of black Nason single stage acrylic enamel for about 2 years. Popped it open today and sprayed my engine pulleys, water pump pulley nose cover(when I go to electric fan), and my front frame cross bars. I'm wore out from blasting in the sun half the day. This is just a few pieces that got painted

Got in bed around midnight. I'm VERY glad I took a bunch of pics with my cell phone of the back of my dash. I installed the wiring harness, new 3 1/2 speakers, new trunk popper button, new headlight switch, and my restored wiper switch into the new dash. I need to assemble the AC/heat box today I guess. I keep putting it off and now I can't put my dash in till its installed. Dang it.

I've been driving myself crazy trying to figure out what to do with my MSD cut to fit spark plug wires. On my 87 SS, I had bent some steel wiring conduit from Lowes and tack welded on brackets that bolted on to the side of the engine. I ran the plug wires through them and up toward the headers. All the wires were out of sight and it looked clean. My problem on this car is the stock exhaust manifolds. I bought straight boots but may go get 45s. The straights look like their going to rub the column shaft but its not installed yet.

Anyone that has disassembled their heat/ac box and restored it, my hats off to you! It was the messiest job so far (3M strip caulk). I tore it apart at the 1st of the summer and luckily had a spare one to use for reference. Every piece of plastic ducting has been washed inside and out with brushes in a hot soapy bath. I used foam tape of different sizes from Lowes for resealing the vent ducts. This thing should blow very hard out of the vents. Going to try to install tomorrow but the replacement heater core is too small. It came with foam tape to seal it in but don't like it. Might just reuse original. All the replacements seem to be aluminum.

Looks good, the hidden wiring is a nice touch. I can feel you on the a.c. box restoration, it is time consuming and a complete pain, but worth it.

I am still trying to catch up to you and Blake, haha.
