How did you put an Olds distributor in off? They have a hex on the bottom of the gear

Not sure why but ive noticed that im not getting any notifications when new comments happen on my threads...but when i log into the forum and read threads, thats when i see the new comments....I took it off without marking it and went to put it in and wouldn't start up.

I actually have what I think is a 800 cfm qjet. Came off a 70s 455. But probly needs rebuilt and it's a spread bore. I have a square bore on it now. But would need a carb plate and probly need a different way to connect cables.....

I can get this for 150. Manual choke. No vac ports. Guy said it's normal to have to drill them to install vac lines...is that true? Seems odd to me. But he said it's been in the box for a year or 2 never used

🤔 Really? How do you know? I thought maybe I was gonna get a decent deal on a carb for the car......

Because thats the only version of that carb that I've ever seen where the vacuum ports are cast over. And no, it's not normal to have to drill those out.

I'm too lazy to go back over the previous 13 pages. Why are you looking for a new carb again?
