When you have them in your hands put them up to the manifold and make sure they will seal around the ports.

Agreed! In the meantime he could pull up the old gaskets to quickly compare

Once that intake dries lay a gasket on it to see how it will seal

Also just want to give some advice, lay down a clean rag or towel in the litter valley to keep debris out of the engine. Not sure if you are doing that and just taking it out for photos.
